Easter Reminded Me of the Miracles That Are My Children

Greetings from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania! Things have been busy. I am still a working mom of three, working full time who is trying to make a difference. I do a lot of things and try to be present so that I can learn from them. I share them on this blog so that we can learn together. Below are some thoughts, hacks, and/or lessons that I have learned from navigating my world. Below is a tale of my road to becoming the mother of three. It was a road filled with joys and disappointments. However, I wouldn't giving nothing for my journey now. Here's to embracing every step of the journey, even the painful ones, and embracing the lessons learned along the way.

Friday Tip: Free Stuff for Kids (The Pittsburgh Children's Museum)

Pittsburgh has really had some wonderful, fun, family-friendly events lately. In honor of a new park opening on the North Side in its backyard, admission to the Children's Museum of Pittsburgh is free tomorrow. (Please see below for more details.)

My daughter visits The Children's Museum so much that I think that she believes that it’s her playroom. That really helps since our townhouse doesn’t allow her to have an actual playroom. I don’t think that the constant pile of toys, crackers and bowls she uses as drums on the floor of our living room qualifies…

I am a HUGE fan. The Children's Museum is like a kid's wonderland. It  is always hopping and is a good time for parents and kinds. I know that my toddler will be all over the Hula Hoop Jam!
NOTE:  There is free parking. And I don't recall anybody giving up free parking in Pittsburgh for years. So, you can come stay for while and at the sign of the first tantrum you can high tail it out of there and know that all you have lost is the gas it took you to get there. (Or if you live on the North Side or downtown, you can simply walk home.)
Please let me know if you plan to attend! I would love to meet you!

Free admission to the Children's Museum all day
(Sponsored by the Jack Buncher Foundation)

Join us for the grand opening of the revitalized Buhl Community Park at Allegheny Square. It's a full day of family fun - both inside and outside of the Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh.

• Official dedication ceremony at Noon
• Cirque-tacular, a troupe of aerialists, acrobats and dancers
• Performance by River City Brass Quintet
• Hula Hoop Jam with Stephanie Moser
• Activities and demonstrations by the National Aviary, The Andy Warhol Museum, New Hazlett Theater and Saturday Light Brigade

NOTE: The official park ceremony is at noon. That's when we'll likely venture over there.

We absolutely LOVE Children's Museums. We just recently relocated to FL from Kansas City, MO where they had 2 different ones and we actually had our oldest daughter's 2nd Birthday Party at the Children's Museum! They really are great resources for our children...Sounds like you guys are going to have a fabulous time, Enjoy!!
