One Secret to Success for a Working Mom, Expand Your Village (Jack and Jill of America)

Jack and Jill of America member and her daughter Recently, I have become keenly aware that good kids are created by accident. They become good because someone made a concerted effort to pour positive things into them--things like, honor, discipline and respect for others. These qualities are taught through lessons and by observation. For that reason, I have been actively considering how to give my children more examples of people who embody those qualities.  Indeed, raising my children to become good people is my most important job.

Successful working women keep track of important matters in the news. However, we are not one-dimensional. Some of us also want to keep up with celebrity gossip and fashion news too. Even in the era of the Internet and 24 hour news shows and E!, it can be challenging to keep up with everything.

Fortunately for you, I make it my job to keep up on articles of interest to working moms and when I find notable ones, I share them with you. Below are two articles that discuss a topic that all working moms can relate to, “working mom guilt”. 
All working moms have felt guilty at one time or another. The guilt stems from the intense pressure that is on us and our burning desire to do it all well.  
As a mom and an attorney (and a blogger and a speaker and a law school professor and a wife and...) I'm a bit of an overachiever, which means that I am pulled in many directions.  Doing my work and putting food on the table is a struggle. Don't even ask me about the large dust bunnies that are often on my floors... Now that I have two kids the stakes are even higher.  I also attended Catholic school as a kid. So, feeling guilty comes really easily to me.  While I have tips about how to do it all without losing your mind, for now, enjoy the two articles below that discuss the topic.
