Easter Reminded Me of the Miracles That Are My Children

Greetings from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania! Things have been busy. I am still a working mom of three, working full time who is trying to make a difference. I do a lot of things and try to be present so that I can learn from them. I share them on this blog so that we can learn together. Below are some thoughts, hacks, and/or lessons that I have learned from navigating my world. Below is a tale of my road to becoming the mother of three. It was a road filled with joys and disappointments. However, I wouldn't giving nothing for my journey now. My interactions with working moms has taught me that even the most organized ones are at the brink of mucking the entire thing up if they get just one more thing on their plate. And then, come the holidays... Indeed, the stress that moms experience during the holidays inspired the movie, "A Bad Moms Christmas", which is in theaters right now. There's a classic line in there where one of the moms says, "Moms don't enjoy Christmas. They give joy".

Ain't that the truth! Not to knock dads and grandfathers, but all of my memories of the holidays involve the women in my life working really hard to ensure that our family enjoyed traditions, had exceptional food to eat, and ensured that the kids were donned in their finest holiday garb.

Now that I am a mom I get it. Girls may have more fun, but moms have more work! It's OK because it's a labor of love, but just like childbirth that labor often includes some stress and some pain. The great thing for moms today is we live in the internet age, which means that we have help at our finger tips! Utilizing the internet can help us do what our moms did, but faster and easier.
