Equity does not exist in households where women make more!

Mom with kids on vacation "Female breadwinners face a much higher risk for burnout, infidelity, and divorce."  When She Makes More ,  Farnoosh Torabi Prince is one of my favorite artists. And, I think that it is genius that the beginning of his famous song, "Let's go crazy" mimics a marriage ceremony. It makes you wonder whether he was suggesting that marriage itself was a path to insanity. If you have forgotten the beginning, here you go, "Dearly beloved, We are gathered here today, To get through this thing called "life" Electric word, life, It means forever and that's a mighty long time, But I'm here to tell you  There's something else..." He writes the afterworld in the blank. However, a recent study suggests that "marriage" could be inserted in its place, especially marriage for high earning women.

Bootlylicious, but sometimes offensive...

Apparently Beyonce has offended people by telling Latina Magazine that she wishes that she had been born Latina. Given the uproar this has created, one would think that she said that she confessed to being a serial killer.

Because we're often occupying the lowest rung on the totem pole, Black folk are particularly sensitive when Black celebrities do anything that could be perceived as insulting Black people. Needless to say Beyonce's comment has pissed a lot of people off.

I think that people are getting worked up for no reason. I am a Beyonce fan. She is absolutely gorgeous, charming, and talented. However, while I believe that she is the consummate entertainer, she is no scholar.

Above all, Beyonce is a self-promoter. I opine that she intended that statement as a compliment to Latinos and simply didn't think that it might be perceived as a rejection of her own race. Moreoever, I am sure that her primary goal was to motivate more Latinos to buy her records.

I doubt very seriously that she intended to insult Black folk. What would be her motivation? Her boyfriend, Jay-Z is a hip hop artist and mogul in that industry for goodness sake.

Even if she occasionally wishes to be Latina, so what. Sometimes I wish that I had been born a man so that I'd know what it was like. However, at the end of the day, I am always happy and proud to be a woman. I'd bet my last dollar that Beyonce is damn happy that she is the one and only Beyonce Knowles. And if she isn't, she can send her money and Jay-Z my way! :-)
