A Grandfather’s Love, Demonstrated in Freeze Pops

As the weather starts to break a bit, we make plans for Spring Break, and I book my kids in a variety of Summer camps,  I am reminded that this summer will be different because we won't have my dad to share the summer with,  My dad kept these on the rotation, in every flavor. Not even sure how he gets them now because I think they are the equivalent of "kid crack"--made with artificial coloring, flavoring, and sugar . To my kids though, these freeze pops were love and summer wrapped in a bow. (As an Amazon associate, I am compensated for qualifying purchases.)

Springtime in Pittsburgh!

Sometimes when your mind is cloudy, a little sunshine is all you need to brighten your mood. Today, Pittsburgh delivered. It was a most beautiful day in Pittsburgh. The sky was blue, the sun was bright. And the birds were chirping. A study just revealed that Southwestern Pennsylvania has a major smog problem. However, the smog was undetectable today.

Indeed, the weather was truly a treat to my soul. It reminded me that while your circumstances may change, you may get disappointed, and relationships may struggle, God continues to show up and surprise you. Life is not defined by transient things. Rather, it is defined by those things that are eternal—nature, goodness, and true love.

Life sometimes distracts us, but we must force ourselves to notice the sunshine. It will make us smile. And it will brighten our days and our hearts.
