Equity does not exist in households where women make more!

Mom with kids on vacation "Female breadwinners face a much higher risk for burnout, infidelity, and divorce."  When She Makes More ,  Farnoosh Torabi Prince is one of my favorite artists. And, I think that it is genius that the beginning of his famous song, "Let's go crazy" mimics a marriage ceremony. It makes you wonder whether he was suggesting that marriage itself was a path to insanity. If you have forgotten the beginning, here you go, "Dearly beloved, We are gathered here today, To get through this thing called "life" Electric word, life, It means forever and that's a mighty long time, But I'm here to tell you  There's something else..." He writes the afterworld in the blank. However, a recent study suggests that "marriage" could be inserted in its place, especially marriage for high earning women.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!

I like to acknowledge holidays on this blog.  However, in the interest of true confessions, we probably had the lamest Halloween in history in my house. We got no trick or treaters. We didn't put the baby in her costume. And as of yet, we haven't even eaten one morsel of candy.

We had grand hopes, but none were realized.  It was cold and rainy out that it didn't seem appropriate to take a one year old outside in the elements, no matter how much her father might love Halloween.

We're fortunate that her daddy took her to a Halloween party on Friday at the Children's Museum though.  Based on the smile in the photo below that was all of the celebration she needed!

Let me know how your Halloween evening's went.  Living vicariously through my blog readers... :-)

We went to a Halloween Festival at church. Stay about 15 mins then came home and got candy from the neighbors. It was too cold to spend hours rounding up candy. Plus, Moo has a peanut allergy and everybody seemed to giving out snickers and reeses.

That is the cutest picture, her on the sofa.
YUMMommy, I give you credit for starting the holiday shopping early and in earnest. I half step it for a while and then panic. Maybe this year will be different? Last year I was on maternity leave so it was less frantic. Since I can't manage to swing that this year, I'll have to plan! Thanks for visiting Chaton's World. It sounds like the birthday parties will compensate for the Halloween!!! :-)http://chatonsworld.blogspot.com.
Thanks Anthony!
