A Grandfather’s Love, Demonstrated in Freeze Pops

As the weather starts to break a bit, we make plans for Spring Break, and I book my kids in a variety of Summer camps,  I am reminded that this summer will be different because we won't have my dad to share the summer with,  My dad kept these on the rotation, in every flavor. Not even sure how he gets them now because I think they are the equivalent of "kid crack"--made with artificial coloring, flavoring, and sugar . To my kids though, these freeze pops were love and summer wrapped in a bow. (As an Amazon associate, I am compensated for qualifying purchases.)

Just Another Manic Monday...

It's Monday morning! I'm actually really not manic, but the 80's song did make for a good title of this post.

I have great hopes for this week even though it is turning colder. We have had summer-like weather for weeks. It's a little disappointing now that the temperature seems to be getting more seasonal.  I'mtrying to just be thankful for the sunshine we've enjoyed instead of lamenting its loss. After all, I do live in Pittsburgh. I really shouldn't have high hopes about the weather anyway!

Yesterday we had Sunday dinner with my mother and brother, which was great. I have really come to value these dinners. It's great seeing how my daughter gets to know my family.  These little things really do mean so much.

Monday represents the beginning of the workweek. I vow not to simply wish the week away longing for the weekend.  Instead, I will focus on what I have to accomplish and on the blessings that I have. I'm also focus on planning our vacation!

Have a great week!
