In the movie Love Jones , the male lead says, "romance is about the possibility of the thing." I agree with that. However, I think that the concept is more universal. life--truly living--is about the possibility of the thing. For a while, I was sleep walking through life, doing what was required without truly embracing it. Recent events have caused me to re-evaluate that and to embrace life and all of its limitless possibilities.   And romance, is about love. Over the past year I have become committed to falling back in love with my life. New relationships have made that love affair possible. And, I don't take them for granted. Creating space for new relationships and making new friends as a single, working mom, and creating space is not easy. But it is necessary. Mommy Blogger Tip: Free Stuff! (National Bowling Day!)

I love sharing random holidays with my readers. I like it even better when I can help families find free activities! Today, I get to do both.

Today is National Bowling Day.  That means that anybody can go to a participating bowling alley and bowl for free.  That's right f-r-e-e entertainment for families!  How often does that happen?!

I am sure that there is some reason for this gift. However, my dad told me not to look a gift horse in the mouth.  So, I decided to rely on the information that I received from the folks from GoBowling.com who were at the BlogHer'12 conference handing out postcards about this upcoming “holiday.” They were also handing out DVDs ("Bowlopolis") that apparently help kids get excited about bowling.  I guess it's not as popular as it used to be!
