Happy Summer!!!

Dog Days of Summer have begun Most working moms are exhausted this time of year. The kids are over school. The uniforms have holes in them and the book bags are held together with duct tape. And then, just like that, Memorial Day comes to help us cope with what we have to do. It gives us a reprieve to prepare for the summer--a less structured life filled with longer nights and more fun.

Wordless Wednesday (not really)...

I don't believe an accident of birth makes people sisters or brothers. It makes them siblings, gives them mutuality of parentage. Sisterhood and brotherhood is a condition people have to work at. -- Maya Angelou

During this holiest of all weeks I am incredibly grateful for my sister, Jeryn. She is my best friend in the world. Those who know us well know that we call ourselves Tbecause we are more powerful together!

She goes out of her way to be there for me and for my family. She is kind, generous and thoughtful. I would not be the person that I am without her love and support. She thinks so highly of me that she makes me a better person.

She is traveling to Pittsburgh tomorrow to spend her Easter holiday with us even though she was just here for the baby's birthday two weeks ago. That's just one example of her selflessness. Below is my favorite photo of us. Enjoy!
