Happy Summer!!!

Dog Days of Summer have begun Most working moms are exhausted this time of year. The kids are over school. The uniforms have holes in them and the book bags are held together with duct tape. And then, just like that, Memorial Day comes to help us cope with what we have to do. It gives us a reprieve to prepare for the summer--a less structured life filled with longer nights and more fun.

Working Mom Reflections: Sunday Dinner With My Mom

I'm no Martha Stewart, but I do like to throw down on Sundays when I can. Like I said last week, my grandmother established a great tradition of Sunday dinners. So, when Sunday rolls around, I do feel like I've missed something if we didn't have a family dinner. Normally, I am more than comfortable with that feeling. However, today, my mother was in town. So, I had to cook. (I cooked last week too. Click here if you'd like to read about it.)

Also, she kept our kids last night and most of the day. I think that was to ensure that I'd have no excuse than to prepare dinner! ;-)

Her comment, "This is delicious!" In my family, that is high praise indeed.

Hope you're enjoying your Sunday!!!

Here's a video describing what I made.  Enjoy!
