Happy Summer!!!

Dog Days of Summer have begun Most working moms are exhausted this time of year. The kids are over school. The uniforms have holes in them and the book bags are held together with duct tape. And then, just like that, Memorial Day comes to help us cope with what we have to do. It gives us a reprieve to prepare for the summer--a less structured life filled with longer nights and more fun.

Working Mom News: I am Attending the United State of Women Summit (#StateofWomen)

As you know, part of the reason I maintain this blog is to contribute to the national conversation about gender equality. Well, in addition to my blog readers, President Obama has been listening (or at least his people have)!

I was honored to learn that I have been selected to attend an upcoming event, "The United State of Women Summit". It's an event designed to convene thought leaders, government officials, and concerned citizens to discuss gender equality. I'm super excited to be selected. And I cannot wait to participate in this event.
