Happy Summer!!!

Dog Days of Summer have begun Most working moms are exhausted this time of year. The kids are over school. The uniforms have holes in them and the book bags are held together with duct tape. And then, just like that, Memorial Day comes to help us cope with what we have to do. It gives us a reprieve to prepare for the summer--a less structured life filled with longer nights and more fun.

Wednesday Words of Wisdom: Love is All You Need

In life one confronts a host of trials and tribulations. For that reason, eventually everybody seeks understanding. What I know for sure is that love is the answer to most questions. 

And, I want my children to learn that lesson too.

This photo of my sister, Jeryn, and new son embodies love at its most pure. Indeed, she loves my kids as her own and always have. Her love makes me a better mom. She brings fun when I am fatigued--literally. She is the one responsible for the baby's first smiles. And if history holds true, she will continue to be the one who shows him that life is full of adventure and that the love of his family will be on that journey with him.
