Being a mother has been my greatest honor, biggest privilege, and hardest job. I am humbled to be in a club that includes great women like my own mother, grandmother and ancestors. I am their daughter and I am here, humbly trying to make them proud.

them glisten
I am a cook who makes
tasty meals
An empath with all of
the feels
A teacher who helps
them do their best
Who strives to help
them pass the test
I am a dreamer who
sees what my kids can be
A light who helps
them see
A warrior who fights
to keep them safe
Who strives to show
them the way
I am a hugger who
embraces
A kisser who covers
their little faces
A disciplinarian who
gives them what they need
Who strives to help
them succeed
Simply put, I am a
mother who loves
A humble woman who
gets strength from above
A indefatigable worker
who cooks and cleans
A grateful heart who
appreciate what all this means
