A Secret to Success as a Working Mom: Use Dresses to Stay Cool and Stylish in Hot Weather

Greetings from Chaton's World in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania! My days often start with laundry, early-morning emails, and making my kids a hot breakfast. They often end with late-night homework checks, making Instagram reels, and appearing on Celebrity Court of Public Opinion. Somewhere in between, I’m navigating boardrooms, working towards deadlines, and immersed in the good, bad, and ugly chaos of motherhood and household management. Here, you’ll find honest reflections, hard-earned lessons, and practical strategies for creating an authentic life that you enjoy. If you’re trying to do it all without losing yourself in the process, you have found your sister in the struggle!  Continue reading to discover some thoughts, hacks, and/or lessons that I have learned from navigating my world.

Happy birthday to my baby!!!

My January Baby

Birthdays are a great time to reflect on the miracle of life! Immediately after having my second child I had a conviction in my heart that I would have a third. I couldn't explain it then and I can't explain it now. I also don't think I shared it with anyone else. However, I knew that at some point, I would be the vehicle that would bring a third soul into the world. And five years ago this past Saturday, I gave birth to a son whose conception and birth defied the odds.

Others were amazed. Yet, I knew that it was completely meant to be. Each day since, he has brought us joy, fun, and given the best hugs! I raising three children and working full time is not for the faint of heart. Still, I cannot express the profound privilege that I have to do so. This little guy's addition to my life made it complete in ways that I couldn't comprehend. And, he has that affect on others.

One of the best presents I've ever received!

When he started day care as an infant, a teacher from another room told me that she would go hold him whenever she was having a bad day to make herself feel better. And, recently, one of the parents at his pre-school told me that he asked a bunch of kids who their best friend was and they all said his name. All parents believe that the children are special. And indeed they are. Still, based on these comments and people's responses to him, I cannot wait to see how his life unfolds and what God has in store for him. So, please join me, albeit a little late in wishing him the happiest of birthdays!

Happy birthday to him!!! XOXO
