Easter Reminded Me of the Miracles That Are My Children

Greetings from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania! Things have been busy. I am still a working mom of three, working full time who is trying to make a difference. I do a lot of things and try to be present so that I can learn from them. I share them on this blog so that we can learn together. Below are some thoughts, hacks, and/or lessons that I have learned from navigating my world. Below is a tale of my road to becoming the mother of three. It was a road filled with joys and disappointments. However, I wouldn't giving nothing for my journey now. Here's to embracing every step of the journey, even the painful ones, and embracing the lessons learned along the way.

What Ordinary Women Can Learn From Kris Jenner and Bethenny Frankel

As I mentioned, I have recently read books by Kris Jenner and Bethenny Frankel, two women who have impressed me with their success. Reading about them has renewed my desire to create an even better life for me and my family. I want our family to have a life where our work is our joy and not our burden. Even though we have a comfortable living, Andre and I have to work to provide for our family.

We want to leave our daughter with a strong legacy and give her the support to live her dreams. These are two women who have helped renew my interest in accomplishing my own goals.

Neither Bethenny nor Kris are my role models. However, I am fascinated by Kris Jenner and Bethenny, especially Kris.

Criticize Kris if you like. You may even have just cause. However, you cannot deny that she is one woman who identified a goal and exceeded it. She has also created financial security for her family. Even if I don’t agree with all of her methods, I admire her chutzpah and both of those achievements. (She and I share the same birthday and I think that’s pretty cool too!)

Number One Lesson from Kris Jenner and Bethenny Frankel-Go For It!

Although I am not way into astrology, I do own several books on the subject.  I have come to believe that the seasons illustrate that certain things occur at the same time each year. And I think that it makes sense that people born at the same time of year might have similar behavior trait. If you ask anyone who knows me, I’m a little crazy like both of them appear to be and I have never met a stranger that I haven’t liked. Also, like each of them, I have a storied romantic life. However, that’s a topic for another post. (You might also get a clue by reading some older posts on this blog!)

After reading both books I was struck by the success of both women. They are driven to be sure, but they aren't rocket scientists. Sure they are attractive, but they are not "model beautiful".  Sure they were well connected before they catapulted to success, but they both maximized those connections in a way that is unparalleled. At the end of the day, they just appear to be women who had the guts to go after their dreams and who refused to take no for an answer.

You don't have to like Kris or Bethenny to learn from them. I know that I have dreams for my life that I haven't had the courage to pursue. Perhaps you do too. Let's commit to working to achieve those dreams.  You will definitely read about my progress towards my dreams on future blog posts.

Happy Friday!
