Equity does not exist in households where women make more!

Mom with kids on vacation "Female breadwinners face a much higher risk for burnout, infidelity, and divorce."  When She Makes More ,  Farnoosh Torabi Prince is one of my favorite artists. And, I think that it is genius that the beginning of his famous song, "Let's go crazy" mimics a marriage ceremony. It makes you wonder whether he was suggesting that marriage itself was a path to insanity. If you have forgotten the beginning, here you go, "Dearly beloved, We are gathered here today, To get through this thing called "life" Electric word, life, It means forever and that's a mighty long time, But I'm here to tell you  There's something else..." He writes the afterworld in the blank. However, a recent study suggests that "marriage" could be inserted in its place, especially marriage for high earning women.

Friday Tip: Know Your Worth (Free Financial Advice)

I may have found my prince charming, but I still take responsibility for creating my own wealth and managing my own money. It may be because my dad was a banker. It may be because my mother was adamant that her girls be independent.  It may be because my grandparents all preached that we should be smart with money.  Or it could be, that as a career woman, an economics major and control freak that I need to be in charge!

Regardless, I take my money very seriously.

Also, as a mother, I view providing for my daughter's financial security as much my duty as providing her with breast milk. It will take a village to raise her and it will take a boatload of cash and love to provide for her.  Still, even with my good intentions, sometimes I get so busy that managing my money takes a backseat to caring for my daughter, working, and ironically spending my money.

For that reason, I was thrilled to find "Daily Worth", a site devoted to helping women achieve financial empowerment. "Daily Worth" is a free daily personal finance email for women. It delivers practical tips, empowering ideas, and the occasional kick in the pants. If you already have a financial plan that works for you, great. If not, check out "Daily Worth" it may provide the motivation that you've been looking for.

Even if your husband provides you and your family with a great life, you may find that you love being able to use your resources to provide your family with an even brighter future.

Isn't that a great site? I happened to meet Amanda, the founder, several years ago at the Pennsylvania Governor's Conference for Women and she was so dynamic and so incredibly NICE. Love her tips and her advice!
