There are certain fashion events
that get me excited—New York’s Fashion Week, any visit to Century 21 and the
collaboration between Target and Neiman Marcus. When I heard that Target and
Neiman Marcus were collaborating I almost lost my mind.
One of the hallmarks of unique American
style is to mix high end with low end. I love seeing women with diamond
earrings a diamond encrusted watch, a fur vest and their favorite jeans. It’s
so very rock star! I sometimes rock a similar look except I’m missing the
dripping in diamonds part… J
The Target + Neiman Marcus Collection = Pure Genius
That’s why I thought that the
Target + Neiman Marcus Holiday Collection was pure genius. Neiman Marcus is the
epitome of luxurious style and Target is the epitome of practical style. I love
the Neiman Marcus Christmas book. However, I have never been able to fit the
Aston Martin, diamond covered bra, or the bejeweled baubles into my
budget. For that reason, I was thrilled
to shop the Neiman Marcus collection for Target this morning.
I actually put the event on my
calendar. When I woke up this morning I was on a mission! I wasn’t able to get
as many things as I wanted from the Missoni for Target collection last year and
didn’t want to miss my opportunity again. I was nervous that I would miss out because
I woke up late. However, I got lucky!
I am so grateful to Target and
Neiman Marcus for bringing a little more style into this season at an
affordable price. I scored several things this time—items from Lela Rose, Tory
Burch and Jason Wu. These are some of
the best designers in the country and they will be under our Christmas tree. I
am also giving some items to some lucky people in my life as gifts.
