One Secret to a Working Mom Success: Celebrate the Seasons With Traditions

Greetings from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania ! Things have been busy. I am still a working mom of three, working full time who is trying to make a difference. Working Mom Tip: Phipps Conservatory Free Admission


The Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens is one of Pittsburgh's great treasures. It contains the most beautiful plants and flowers and is one of the most peaceful places in Pittsburgh. It also have a beautiful chandelier in the lobby that was designed by Dale Chihuly. Every time I visit the Phipps I fall in love with it!

If you're looking for a retreat from the world on Monday, visit the Phipps because admission will be FREE!

For working moms, if you have Paid Time Off, you could take your kids to the Phipps on Monday. However, even if you don't, consider visiting the Phipps for lunch with your girlfriends. They have a great cafe that specializes in healthy eating options. So, you could have a healthy meal and enjoy one of the region's resources.

Thanks to a generous grant from the Jack Buncher Foundation, Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens is pleased to announce that it will open its doors free of charge on Monday, Feb. 25, 2013. Guests who attend this year’s free admission day will enjoy the warmth and incomparable beauty of the public garden’s historic glasshouse gardens filled with a variety of tropical plants, orchids, cacti, ferns, palm trees, and many other gorgeous specimens that will lift winter-weary spirits and carry visitors away to more pleasant climates.
