One Secret to a Working Mom Success: Celebrate the Seasons With Traditions

Greetings from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania ! Things have been busy. I am still a working mom of three, working full time who is trying to make a difference. I do a lot of things and try to be present so that I can learn from them. I share them on this blog so that we can learn together. Below are some thoughts, hacks, and/or lessons that I have learned from navigating my world. "Family traditions counter alienation and confusion. They help us define who we are; they provide something steady, reliable and safe in a confusing world."— Susan Lieberman   Traditions have a way of defining a family, provide stability and give hope. They are especially important for woking moms who spend so much time working to provide for their family that they may miss some of the "traditional" mom things like bake sales, volunteering at the book fair, and a host of actual and seemingly made up holidays.  They are also important for families trying to reinvent themselves in the wake of d...

Dress First: A Great Site to Find a Stunning Homecoming Dress

This is a sponsored post, meaning that I have received compensation in exchange for my honest opinions about this product.

We are in the last days of summer. That means that it is back to school time and time for football! Football season means that it Homecoming season will be upon us before we know it. That means that mothers and their daughters will be in search of dresses. Shopping for mothers and their teen-aged daughters can lead to arguments about cut and cost. While I can’t answer the age old questions about what is the right age to wear a strapless dress or show cleavage I can share a new site I discovered that has great dresses at reasonable prices.

I was excited to be asked to review this site. I am a sucker for fashion. I also remember fighting with my mother about dresses for every school dance. Also, as a working mom, I am all about saving time. Traipsing through the mall to find a dress can be a huge time waster.

Also, shopping on the Internet is a great way to stay fashionable and unique. Your daughter can find a special dress for her event without worrying that every other girl at school caught the same sale at the mall! That should make things a little calmer at you house.

So, I reviewed the site and happy to find that I loved what I saw. As someone who considers herself a bit of a fashionista the choices are good ones.  Also, there are lots of different styles that covered the fashion gamut and choices to please mothers and daughters. They run from sweet to sophisticated to sexy. They also have a great color selection.

So visit the site, enjoy the savings and the selection. Let me know if you find a dress!
