One Secret to a Working Mom Success: Celebrate the Seasons With Traditions

Greetings from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania ! Things have been busy. I am still a working mom of three, working full time who is trying to make a difference. I do a lot of things and try to be present so that I can learn from them. I share them on this blog so that we can learn together. Friday Tip: Know Your Worth (Free Financial Advice)

I may have found my prince charming, but I still take responsibility for creating my own wealth and managing my own money. It may be because my dad was a banker. It may be because my mother was adamant that her girls be independent.  It may be because my grandparents all preached that we should be smart with money.  Or it could be, that as a career woman, an economics major and control freak that I need to be in charge!

Regardless, I take my money very seriously.

Also, as a mother, I view providing for my daughter's financial security as much my duty as providing her with breast milk. It will take a village to raise her and it will take a boatload of cash and love to provide for her.  Still, even with my good intentions, sometimes I get so busy that managing my money takes a backseat to caring for my daughter, working, and ironically spending my money.

For that reason, I was thrilled to find "Daily Worth", a site devoted to helping women achieve financial empowerment. "Daily Worth" is a free daily personal finance email for women. Isn't that a great site? I happened to meet Amanda, the founder, several years ago at the Pennsylvania Governor's Conference for Women and she was so dynamic and so incredibly NICE. Love her tips and her advice!
