A Secret to Success This Back to School Season: Make Everyone Feel Loved

Family in Chautauqua   Greetings from Chaton's World in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania! In my world, my days often start with laundry, early-morning emails, and making my kids a hot breakfast. They often end with late-night homework checks, making Instagram reels, and appearing on Celebrity Court of Public Opinion. Somewhere in between, I’m navigating boardrooms, working towards deadlines, and immersed in the good, bad, and ugly chaos of motherhood and household management. As a working mom of three and a professional carving out space in corporate environments, I share my journey of balancing leadership with loving my family, and I sprinkle it with self-care tips. Here, you’ll find honest reflections, hard-earned lessons, and practical strategies for creating an authentic life that you enjoy. Mommy Mondays!

Mondays are a milestone for most moms. I'm no different. I work outside the home and I try to do too much on the weekend. It's inevitable. I am me and I live in Chaton's World.  If you hadn't noticed Chaton's World can be a little chaotic. However, it can also be funny.

Generally I am living my life on Sunday night and then BAM! It's midnight and I still have lots to do.  Last night, I got tired at 11:00 PM. It may have had something to do with getting up early for the Pittsburgh Marathon.  There was that little stomach thing before the race. There was also the walk that we took after the race to the finish line, my decision to post photos to Facebook instead of napping with the toddler, and dinner and  wine with my parents and brother.

When I got home from my parents' house I was beat. The baby was beat too. I dispensed with her bath and just did a quick wash up and story. She didn't even care. She was tired and so was I.

For that reason, I woke up refreshed on Monday, even completed a lot of chores before even going to work. YAY! When I arrived home I realized that my toddler and I were wearing the same color. I was tickled by the coincidence. Even though I'm not mommy/baby, matchy/matchy, and I know that it's kind of corny, I LOVE when she and I wear the same color. Today, it happened quite by accident.

It made me happy so I took some photos. There were several takes! For the one above, I used my iPad, but it was such a close up that you couldn't see our clothes.  The ones below were taken with my computer. They're not as clear, but you can see that we match! I am so happy that Olivia taught me how to do that!

Have a great day!!!
