A Peek Into the Life of a Mommy Blogger: Speaking at Parents Palooza

Image
This past weekend I spoke at Parents Palooza in Atlanta, Georgia , an extravaganza for parents and children. Being in Atlanta was a great treat. I was able to spend time with my sister who is a fantastic friend and a wonderful aunt to my daughter. She’s also a marketing genius who helped whip my Power Point into shape! The title of my presentation was “How to Live Your Dream Life While Waiting for Your Dream Job ”. My goal was to inspire the participants and change lives. So many speakers encourage people to achieve their dreams, but few tell them what to do in the meantime.   I answered that question. “Work to achieve your dreams, but commit to being happy now.” I was pleased that my speeches were well received. You can find videos of the speeches on this site and on YouTube soon. In the meantime, enjoy these photos from Parents Palooza.   Me and the toddler, excited to be at Parents Palooza.

My time at the polls has reminded me that voting isn't just about pundits and politics. It's about people. It's about people who work hard, love their families, and ha
